Moving Lens Productions is an independent Australian film company. In 2003 we toured Tasmania with our series of documentaries about forestry issues in Tasmania. In 2004 we held over thirty screenings along the east coast of Australia.

During that highly successful tour, we pledged that the next film would be about water.

The initial cut of the film, Water Rights was screened at The State Theatre in Hobart in October 2006, at the second Future Tasmania conference. That film is now evolving into a series of short films, each outlining a different aspect of the issues associated with water, agriculture and forestry in Tasmania. Clean, Green & Atrazine and Caveside are the first of that series.

On a brighter note, Forest Gardeners tells the story of building small community food forests on suburban blocks using the “chunky pizza” style of mulching.

Current projects for Moving Lens Productions include cdep - biripi and worimi country, set amongst the Indigenous community of Taree in New South Wales, “The Village that Fell to Earth” in West Bengal, India and a documentary outlining Rainforest Rescue’s work in Sri Lanka.

We are a not for profit organisation, and welcome any support you may like to give. Tax deductible donations can be made through Rainforest Rescue by specifying that the donation is for Moving Lens Productions. Please feel welcome to contact us -we’d love to hear from you.
